Situated in the heart of the 14th arrondissement of Paris, the restaurant Pavillon Montsouris is a beautiful belle époque style French restaurant. A wonderfully historical building, the restaurant has played host to numerous nig names over the years, including none other than Jean Paul Sartre as well as Louis Jouvet and the Mata Hari. The restaurant has recently undergone a complete overhaul and has been redesigned by architect Alain Leonardon in a fabulous colonial style with a stunning conservatory and magnificent terrace overlooking the Montsouris Park. The menu sticks to classic French cuisine yet is very reasonably priced with dishes such as chicken supreme stuffed with mushrooms served with a foie gras jus and asparagus risotto or fillet of dorada with crustacean reduction, courgette cream and seasonal vegetables. Pavillon Montsouris is particularly popular amongst local business folk during weekdays and at weekends is the destination of choice for many Parisians looking for a special treat.
