The fabulous Boukhara - Amelot restaurant, found along the rue Amelot in Paris’ 11th arrondissement, has introduced the culinary delights of Uzbekistan to the capital of France. Opened by native Uzbeks Saidjon and Andrey, Boukhara is proving to be a huge hit amongst the diners of Paris, offering an insight into the delicious cuisine of Uzbekistan and the delights of central Asia. Taking you on a journey through the old silk route, the menu at Boukhara is full of unusual central Asian specialities with dishes such as Chuchvara (small raviolis stuffed with beef and boiled in salt water and served with Turkestan sauce) or Qavurma Lagman (long handmade noodles which are stir fried with pieces of meat and vegetables and flavoured with special spices). Lovers of tea will also be delighted with a trip to Boukhara, where you’ll also find a traditional “Tchaikhana” (Uzbek tea house) serving the finest teas. The dining room has been designed to combine traditional Uzbek charm with a modern stylish feel and really works well. Boukhara - Amelot has proved to be such a big hit in Paris that Saidjon and Andrey have opened a second restaurant due to such high demand.
