Opened in April 2009, the 58 Tour Eiffel restaurant boasts one of the best locations in Paris on the first floor of the majestic Eiffel Tour. At 58 metres above the ground this cool and contemporary restaurant has taken the place of the tower’s former Restaurant Altitude 95 and has already taken the city by storm. Of course the location alone is enough to impress anyone and the views from the dining room are simply stunning, looking out over the breath taking sights and lights of Paris. The interior is pretty outstanding too, designed by Patrick Jouin (who also designed the tower’s other restaurant the Jules Verne), you enter the dining room via a beautiful wood and steel sweeping staircase. The actual dining room is minimalist in style, with a huge cauldron shaped open kitchen in which a skillful team of chefs headed up by Alain Soulard work their magic. Lunchtimes offer “Picnic Chic” where guests are given a table ticket and select dishes from the counter which are then placed in ultra cool stainless steel picnic baskets. If you prefer a more classic dining occasion then evenings are much more formal and the menu features a fine selection of dishes such as roasted John Dory with vegetable tart and a herb and truffle dressing or duck breast with baked fruits and dolce forte sauce. Wow! My first visit to this restaurant in Paris didn't disappoint. My wife and I were truly impressed by the quality of service and variety offered on the menu. The food was simply divine.

What a fantastic restaurant!! We came here for our silver wedding anniversary and had one of the most outstanding meals that we could remember. Great service, wonderful food and views over the whole of Paris. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

A visit to the 58 Tour Eiffel restaurant is an absolute must. This is one serious restaurant in one of the world's most impressive locations and a great way to experince the splendour of the famous Eiffel Tower without the normal tourist hassles. Excellent food, great wines (as you'd expect) and very good service. Definitely a place to impress your girlfriend or wife.
